This blog spot is called 'Racheal's side'. I wonder why. Because it was created sometime back as a place to RESPOND to alot of things that are levelled at me in various places. A place to put my side of what is being said. It is a reactionary place not a place I use to attack.
I am not interested in all the Tranny BS and looking for a flame war. I'm not the one trying to instigate a Tranny spat. Never have been. In this blog I am not going to address the myriad of BS that is being thrown at me by mainly two people who appear to have nothing better to do than troll through years of posts seeking to dredge and live in the past. I am not the one who keeps wanting to bring all the 'nasty' comments about themselves into the public arena again and again.
Yes in the past, some months and/or years ago, I have made comments I shouldn't have about individuals. However it is not shown how I was baited and angered before hand. It is not told of the apologies that have been given. No recognition is given of these facts. I have in good faith removed posts/blogs to which its acknowledged but then I am straight in attacked for what was in them.
They dont seem able to accept apologies even if offered. They sort the removal of 'Gems' letter and an appology yet the other day they still had it up on the net for all to see. Despite an apology offered, supposedly accepted and the removal of said letter from where it was originally placed.
I'll never win against the gutter press who don't know the meaning of the word compromise and so am not interested in getting into the discussion. Sometimes their spelling and grammar is no better than my own but it is only mine that is mentioned. Alas The Transadvocates page has gone down in peoples estimation I am told as it has sort to be just a promoter of personal attacks by gutter tabloid journalism.
Promoting blogs that are full of distortions of the truth, exaggeration and and information dragged up from the past. The sort of exaggeration is this where it is claimed I have laid 6 'formal complaints'. Sounds heavy and nasty when in fact I have laid only 1 formal complaint. I have complained in other places I admit and because those places took it seriously, they may have decided to look at it as a formal complaint and follow formal complaint procedures.
I wont go into it but the 1 formal complaint I have laid was received well and taken seriously. Alas they cannot look into it because the matter is still before the Court. They expressed total understanding and support for my complaint but the law is the law. Because it is still before the Court, they cannot look into it. We discussed at length and they were helpful in what other avenues I might pursue.
It is misleadingly claimed its because I don't like the word 'Transgender' used. Alas this person doesn't know what my complaint was or why. First up I would challenge that the word 'Transgender' is a noun. It is an adjective. I haven't been able to find it described as a noun anywhere. Sure there are some people who use it as a noun and the language is changing but that doesn't make it right.
My complaint is concerning the Court being mislead and usage of the word and its definition being set in Court records. I don't wish to see any TS/TG have to spend time in a male prison and if that happens, it wont be my fault but the fault of a Defence Barrister not doing their job and trying to mislead the Court to gain a lighter sentence. Of course I will be to blame if said Barrister fails to hood wink the Judge and Prosecution.
Transgender is not a recognised medical condition as claimed by Defence and as reported in the Newspapers who assure me they have reported what was put before the Court. Transsexualism or Gender Dysphoria is a recognised medical condition. Not all Transgender have Gender Dysphoria. Transgender is merely an umbrella term. Can anyone point me to any medical place of authority that recognises Transgender as a medical condition?
But hey, their twisting of what is written and said is a good way to attack Racheal as well as the Court and put her down. Forget about the fact she has removed posts/blogs and acknowledged they were likely offencive. Forget about why Racheal was angered into making those comments. Forget about the fact Racheal has made some apology's albeit ages ago. Forget about the conversation and what was said first. Edit things to suit. Lets continue to cyberbully her, harass her, torment her, belittle her. They cant move on.
Back to the complaints laid, so I am wrong to follow correct procedures and should enter into a huge flame war on the internet? I do wonder just who complained some two years ago and it resulted in my then whole website being removed basically because of things written in my blog. Who showed me how to use the 'formal complaints' process? But it was ok for them back then but not ok for me?
Then there is Transsexuals of New Zealand and how they are supportive of it yet cant help but to bring TSNZ back into the discussion. Implying there is disharmony, cant get members. These two people and some others see TSNZ as a threat. They like the word Transgender and want to see all working together under the one cuddle blanket, bar myself of course. They see TSNZ as a splitting of the umbrella and so reducing the collective power. The truth is they don't want to see TSNZ succeed. Despite their protestation that they support it, they see myself as being a key player and if they can destroy me then TSNZ will fold.
So the attack on me is only partly an attack on me to discredit myself but is also an attack on TSNZ, an attack on Transsexuals. Doesn't matter that myself and TSNZ have repeatedly said we will support GLB and TG intiatives so long as they are not detrimental to TS. They keep missing that point and the one where we are happy to work alongside other TG groups. Their gutter journalism is more aimed to disrupt TSNZ because in less then a year, they have seen them grow from some 20 members to 104 members. They have seen several Transsexuals stand up and out in the press to raise awareness of Transsexuals and Transsexuals issues. TSNZ have worked with ADHB to clarify the altering of records. While their own organisations have offered no support - nothing.
I have not addressed the bulk of the lies, inuendo, twisting of fact that has occurred. I am not interested in sitting here spending hours trolling and looking for posts they have made just to use it to malign them. One would have thought a Barrister and Senior University Lecturer would have had better things to do. I cant quite get how defending a TG who apparently instigated a fight, bashed someone over the head with a bottle, is good but standing up and out for Transsexuals, Prostitutes, prostitution and the adult sex industry is bad.
If I tried to respond to all the crap, it would be a book so I'd rather just leave it at two people who have hurt their own credibility, hurt the good work of Transadvocates and seriously appear to have some mental health issues. IMHO. They are consumed and besotted with continuing this. I'm sure this alas will fire up some more attacks but I shan't be responding. I'm not into the bitching tranny flame wars. Move on. You have the pleasure of having hurt me but alas people aren't fools.
I have the support of many friends and it has helped me so thank you to my friends who do know me.
We are all accountable for who we are.

I have removed 3 posts.
I make no apology for what was in them and still agree with my reasons why they were posted and what they contained. They were my opinion.
I have decided there are better things in life then being drawn into petty bitching tranny spats.
I have not pulled them because of any intimation or treats but because it is time to move forward.
I pulled a couple down the other day and removed a post off my FB page in good faith but it had no effect so I have decided to just move on.
I believe in Transsexuals and in reclaiming our slowly disappearing identity because I believe it is important for us not to be lost under a giant umbrella. I have always been willing to work along side TG groups so long as it is not detrimental to TS.
To this end I am putting my efforts into Transsexuals of New Zealand.
What follows is not aimed at anyone person in anyway.
Misgendering:
This is a complicated issue and not as simple as it might seem.
It is all very good for people to idnetify as they please but what if it impacts negatively on others?
This was in part one of the catylysts for the orginal forming of Transsexuals of New Zealand. It was felt Transsexuals were losing their identity and others were claiming to be transsexuals who some felt were not the same as they were. The definition was being clouded and society being confussed. This when people were starting to understand and accept transsexuals but now were being confused by the changing of what a term meant.
I have generally always tried to address a person by the gender they present as. Someone who presented as female, I usually referred to them as her, she etc. So no misgendering there.
There always was a huge variety of definitions out there but I believe the HRC Report, 'To Be Who I Am' released in 2008 is a good one.
"Transsexual: a person who has changed, or is in the process of changing their physical sex to conform to their gender identity."
I believe this is a pretty basic but fair definition and one I tend to use and go by.
As someone recently put it, Transsexuals have a 'desire', and I believe this is important. An MtF Transsexual will seek hormones, may seek FFS, BA and will desire GRS. They wish to be as female as possible. They dont like their 'extra' they have between their legs and have no desire for it to be used as a male would use it. they don't refer to it as penis. They desire a vagina, to be able to bare children, to nurture a child and breast feed. They will have strong motherly instincts. Alas there may well be constraints on what they can achieve, perhaps medical, financial or age but they will still have the 'desire.' This applies similarly with FtM Transsexuals as well. One does not need to have GRS to be Transsexual.
There are some people out there who dress as the gender other than the sex they were deemed at birth but who do not have the 'desire' to go on hormones, to seek operations, are happy to retain their penis and use it as a male with a female, seek to father a child. And call themselve Transsexual. They also call themselves Lesbians so is it any wonder alot of Lesbians dont like Transsexuals?
Sorry but I believe this is 'misgendering'. These people are nothing like the Transsexuals I know or like myself. Do I have a right to point this out to them? Am I the gender police? No, I am not the gender police but yes I believe I do have a right as they are confusing what society sees as Transsexual and was coming to understand as Transsexual. These people may well be a Transgender person of some kind but they are clouding or muddying the waters, confusing societies understanding and will therefore hurt acceptance of Transsexuals.
So yes as a Transsexual, I do have a right to try to clear this water. This is also partly why Transsexuals of NZ was originally formed. To help understanding of Transsexuals and promote the needs of Transsexuals.
Transsexuals of New Zealand are not separatists or elitest. We have alwasy expressed the desire to work and support other TG Groups and GLB. Being labelled as separatist and elitest by these few is hardly the way to show you want to work with someone but merely divisive.
